Assistant Controller | Camarillo, CA | $60k-$70k/year
Responsibilities and Duties:
Reconciles subsidiary ledgers and computer-generated reports to the appropriate General Ledger interface accounts.
Creates and develops work papers to assist in areas such as financial statement preparation, year-end audit, and other reports considered necessary by the Controller.
Prepares financial and statistical data reports that provide comparison of financial and statistical information with peer groups.
Reviews actual departmental operating results variances from budget and meets with Department Managers to discuss in a timely manner.
Works effectively with auditors, preparing requested work papers and responding to verbal and written request; demonstrates cooperation and responsiveness.
Ensures confidentiality of financial data and customer records.
Prepare payroll and oversee human resources including hiring, termination, benefits and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Prepare account reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts, research and resolve any account reconciling items.
Assist with the month end close process
Assist with the preparation of the financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Reconcile bank statements and track daily banking activity
Property Tax reporting, Sales and Use tax reporting
Bachelor's degree with an accounting major.
3+ years accounting experience
Great Plains software exp. a plus
