Insure that inspection of line-set up and control points as indicated in quality manual is taking place.
Insure that continual monitoring of production lines, personnel, procedures, and hygiene practices is in place.
Adhere to the company’s Food Safety and Quality Policy Expectations.
Swabbing production area for Salmonella testing; preparing documentation for laboratory and recording results.
Insuring proper hygiene is practiced by production employees (procedures, attire, etc).
Initiate non-conforming tags for product (as needed).
Document and submit daily exceptions to the QA department.
Communicate with QA supervisor on different shift any pertinent information from shift
Provide training of quality expectations to operational personnel whenever changes are made to policies/procedures
Monitor daily department compliance with Olde Thompson SQF, GMP’s and HACCP programs.
Reserve the right to stop production (lines) when non-conforming units are detected.
Reporting Relationships: The QA Supervisor reports to the QA Manager.
Working Relationships: The QA Supervisor is to work closely with all levels of production personnel as well as with warehouse personnel. The QA Supervisor also works with other QA personnel.
Food Safety & Quality Responsibilities:
Abide by the Company’s food safety requirements for hygiene and cleanliness.
Follow the company-wide food safety guidelines and requirements
Solid understanding of spice container filling and all related processes.
Reading and interpretation skills (company and client part coding)
Knowledge of food safety fundamentals (GMPc)
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to read and interpret work order instructions and other records/checklists utilized during production
Experience in Windows-based computer environment and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word,etc)
Good attention to details.
