A qualified Component Technician with minimum supervision, works from schematics and checklists to test electrical units and controls to diagnose malfunctions, using hand tools and electronic knowledge.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Follows detailed written process, checklists as to the exact procedures to be followed for repairs.
Uses oscilloscopes, multi meters, personal computers, and specialized test equipment for troubleshooting and isolating electronic failures in equipment.
Ensure quality of repaired product meets customer requirements for that part number.
Prepares written parts requisitions or locates parts as needed for repairs.
Maintains security of all electronic tools used and materials being repaired.
Required Education and Experience:
Technical Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Ability to follow directions, pay attention to details, good manual dexterity and electronic skills, good English skills, ability to work with hand tools and electronic test equipment, ability to operate a personal computer.
1-2 years in electronic troubleshooting, testing and repair
High School Graduate, AS, Electrical Engineering or similar, preferred
