Component Technician

$16-$25 DOE

Located in Camarillo

full time long term

A qualified Component Technician with minimum supervision, works from schematics and checklists to test electrical units and controls to diagnose malfunctions, using hand tools and electronic knowledge.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follows detailed written process, checklists as to the exact procedures to be followed for repairs.

  • Uses oscilloscopes, multi meters, personal computers, and specialized test equipment for troubleshooting and isolating electronic failures in equipment.

  • Ensure quality of repaired product meets customer requirements for that part number.

  • Prepares written parts requisitions or locates parts as needed for repairs.

  • Maintains security of all electronic tools used and materials being repaired.

Required Education and Experience:

Technical Knowledge, skills and abilities:

Ability to follow directions, pay attention to details, good manual dexterity and electronic skills, good English skills, ability to work with hand tools and electronic test equipment, ability to operate a personal computer.

1-2 years in electronic troubleshooting, testing and repair

Education/ Certifications:

High School Graduate, AS, Electrical Engineering or similar, preferred
