Reporting To: Buyer/Planner

Temp-Hire, FT $18-$23 $DOE

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Responsible for purchasing of service parts, accessories, upgrades and consumables.

·         Procure materials required to achieve customer fill level objectives

·         Process returned, rejected and obsolete inventory paperwork

·         In conjunction with assigned suppliers, develop, implement, and track programs for improving supplier quality, delivery performance, and total cost of ownership to ensure that supplier performance standards are met

·         Evaluate and provide feedback to assigned suppliers on supplier performance standards and their performance against those standards

·         Manage product retirement activities related to inventory and procurement

·         Expedite outstanding materials from suppliers as required to meet customer satisfaction goals. Responsible for enforcing escalation procedures as required and per divisional policy

·         Publish weekly metrics to monitor performance

·         Manage non-inventory requisitions; analyze quantity, specifications, delivery requirements and appropriate approvals

·         Performs special assignments and projects as required

Decision Making Authority:

  • Disposition parts to specific financial accounts as required

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field or equivalent experience

·         Minimum of 2 – 4 years working experience in service inventory management

·         Working knowledge of MRP principles and materials management is strongly preferred

·         APICS or related professional certification is preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions:

·         Strong organizational skills are required

·         Demonstrated analytical skills are required

·         Required to have computer skills and Microsoft Office and Project tools

·         High degree of independence and initiative is desired

·         Good written and verbal communication skills are required

·         Good interpersonal skills – especially customer/supplier relations are desired

·         Ability to follow through on tasks to completion is necessary

·         Exceptional planning and ability to manage multiple competing priorities
